Auburn University PR Students are Taking Over!

Run for Ronnie

The Beta Lambda chapter of Auburn University’s Tau Kappa Epsilon will be having their Fourth Annual “Run for Reagan” event April 19, at 4:30 p.m. Run for Reagan is a 5K marathon benefiting the Ronald and Nancy Reagan Alzheimer’s Research Institute in Chicago, Ill.

President Ronald Reagan was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity at Eureka College. In 1994, Reagan was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease at age 83. Alzheimer’s is an incurable disorder which causes brain cells to die.

Hulu.com: A substitute for a television?

Families used to come together after dinner and watch their favorite shows. These shows would not be recorded by a DVR or released on DVD. There was only one opportunity for the viewer to catch his or her favorite television show.

Online videos and television episodes can be found on any primetime television Web site. ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC all offer viewers the opportunities to catch up on their favorite shows at their convenience online for free.

Social media replacing social interaction

Social media is evolving and if you aren’t on board it will just pass you by, leaving you left clueless and behind the times. Why are people joining social media?

It's a matter of honor

Auburn University has around 34 active honors societies. Each society is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS). The ASCHS is “the nation's only certifying agency for college and university honor societies.” Similar to sororities and fraternities, there is a recruitment process and only a certain number of applicants are chosen.
