Whitney Hanks First Year Harrison School of Pharmacy Student

Whitney Hanks will be a first year student at Harrison School of Pharmacy at Auburn University in Fall 2008. Harrison School of Pharmacy was listed in the top 20 pharmacy school across the country by the Princeton Review, so being accepted is quite an honor. Hanks along with the other "P1" students, as first years are called, will be attending a six -day orientation before classes start. Snow Biz! Snow Cones!

The comes a time during the year, in the month of April, that is almost sacred to Auburn residents, the opening of Snow Biz! Snow Biz is Auburn's beloved snow cone hut where people of all ages frequent during the warmer months for a cold refreshing treat. There are two locations in Auburn, one on South College and one on Glenn Avenue. One of its employees claims they use about 100 buckets of ice during the opening month of April, that is a lot of ice! Auburn University Wireless Engineering Students

Auburn University Wireless Engineering students are working on developing new wireless protocols and testing signal strength at various points on Auburn's campus. Joe Davis, a Wireless Software Engineering student, was interviewed on the fields, testing signal strength. It is pretty amazing the scope of studies that can be found at Auburn University and the many interesting projects that students are working on.

What is that machine?

Auburn University Doctorate students are working with the Army Core of Engineers to create a robot that will eventually take the place of man power and make searching old bomb sites more safe. The students are testing the robot right here on Auburn's campus, in the fields. One engineer admits, "Tailgaters and sunbathers don't like us too much. They can't figure out why we need their valuable lounging space to test our machine." The Core of Engineers is funding the project, creating opportunities… Continue

Sarah Stephenson talks about Project Uplift

Sarah Stephenson, a senior at Auburn University is an active member of project uplift, an organization that places children in the community with Auburn students in a "big brother, big sister" like situation. Sarah has been participating in the program for over a year now and mentors two children, a brother and a sister.
